Ethan Wachsmann gave up the fewest walks he has since back in May of 2024 on Thursday. He was dynamite, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Wachsmann's strong effort led Grandview over Smoky Hill and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
