After a string of five wins, Bushland's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 14-9 to the River Road Wildcats. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Addison Appier was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Charley Spinks, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Bushland's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-11. As for River Road, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-9.
