ASU Prep Poly scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-30 win over Sequoia Charter at home. The victory was familiar territory for ASU Prep Poly who now have four in a row.
ASU Prep Poly was led to victory by Aidan Collins and CJ Welcome. Collins dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Welcome scored 12 points along with four steals. Welcome hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Turner, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
ASU Prep Poly pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Sequoia Charter, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
ASU Prep Poly will head out on the road to take on Mission Heights Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sequoia Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Empower College Prep at 6:00 p.m.
