The Westfield Bombers will venture away from home to face off against the Frontier Regional Red Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westfield will be strutting in after a win while Frontier Regional will be coming in after a loss.
Westfield had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Putnam Vo-Tech on Tuesday. The Bombers put the hurt on the Beavers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bombers in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now won six in a row.
The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 25-12.

Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Frontier Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Westfield has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Frontier Regional struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Westfield took their win against Frontier Regional in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
