The Westover Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Shaw with points to spare, taking the game 69-55. With that win, Westover brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Westover got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braylon Ball out in front who scored 16 points along with six assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ball has scored all season. Anthony Milton was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
The win (which was Westover's seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Shaw, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Westover will face off against Tift County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Tift County: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Westover has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Shaw will take on Bainbridge at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bainbridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Shaw in Georgia (Bainbridge is ranked 121st, while Shaw is ranked 243rd).
