On Friday West Elk take on Cedar Vale/Dexter at 7:00 PM. West Elk will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
West Elk didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 44-48 to Oswego last Friday. West Elk got a solid performance out of senior Codie Cannon, who picked up 71 yards on the ground and snatched 2 receiving TDs; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Cedar Vale/Dexter put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 64-32 margin over Sedan. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-12.
Cedar Vale/Dexter's victory lifted them to 4-1 while West Elk's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, West Elk and Cedar Vale/Dexter will really light up the scoreboard.
