The Westbury Huskies pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Sealy 62-56. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (55), Westbury still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Westbury lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nicholas Homer. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points. Lepaul Warren was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
This is the second loss in a row for Westbury and nudges their season record down to 7-11. As for Sealy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westbury will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Kinkaid at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Sealy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lumberton at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th.
