The Kennedy Thunderbirds had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Wasco 64-42. That's another feather in the cap for Kennedy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elijah Lopez, who scored 12 points. Jacob Lawrence was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Kennedy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Wasco, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy will take on Mira Monte at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wasco, they will be playing at home against Chavez at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chavez has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
