The Concord Spiders's 19-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 79-44 loss at the hands of Cox Mill. Concord lost against Cox Mill in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-48 score last time.
Concord's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Reid, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds. Jadah Freeman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cox Mill, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Concord will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northwest Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. Northwest Cabarrus has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 355 points over their last five matchups. As for Cox Mill, they will head out on the road to face off against Kings Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kings Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
