After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cedar Hill, Midlothian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Ennis Lions with a sharp 59-33 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.
Leading Midlothian to victory were David Aborisade and Beau Wendel. Aborisade rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Wendel rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. Brendyn Jackson also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Midlothian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 411 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ennis only rushed for 97.

Despite the loss, Ennis still got an impressive performance from GRACEN HARRIS, who picked up 230 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown. With that strong performance, HARRIS is now averaging an impressive 163 receiving yards per game. ZANDER HINTON was another key player, throwing for 349 yards and four touchdowns.
The victory got Midlothian back to even at 1-1. As for Ennis, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midlothian will challenge Kimball at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ennis, they will square off against Cleburne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
