The Roosevelt Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Flat Rock Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Roosevelt can't be too worried about heading out to take on Flat Rock: they just beat Woodhaven at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Bears came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Luke Hurliman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Webster, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Roosevelt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Flat Rock waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They skirted past the Chiefs 3-1. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly two runs.
Jayden Yancy looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Flat Rock's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Godfrey, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Flat Rock's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, their record now sits at 6-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Roosevelt has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Flat Rock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
