Dominic Sabel and Derek Friske provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Sequoia. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in Peninsula - Ocean this season.
South San Francisco extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Woodside, 34-8. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Friske was the best wideout in the league this week as King's Academy lost to the Cherokee. Friske tallied one reception for 80 yards. Fidel Nunez helped King's Academy's passing attack out by catching five balls for 40 yards.
Mike Taylor provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Sequoia bested the Knights. He completed six passes for 79 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 141 yards. Taylor's favorite target this week was Ben Sehl, who caught three passes for 42 yards.
Heru Peacock made the biggest impact on defense this week as Menlo topped Jefferson. The senior forced one fumble and recorded one fumble.
Jack Heneghan threw for 112 yards and three touchdowns. He was nine-13 with zero interceptions.
The Knights' Heneghan and Connor Stastny have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Peninsula - Ocean in both passing and receiving yards. Heneghan has thrown for 1903 yards this season, while Stastny has 39 catches for 689 yards. Rob Poulos' team's Taylor leads the league in rushing yards with 966.
The Cherokee's Taylor is a mere 34 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
Menlo's Heneghan is within 97 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Sacred Heart Prep.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when King's Academy takes on the Indians. William Gittens' team is in fifth place, while Jefferson is in sixth place.
Mark Newton's team took down Joe Nelleson's team 56-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Heneghan in the win.
