The Barrington Eagles waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They put the hurt on Juanita Sanchez Complex with a sharp 59-35 victory. Given Barrington's advantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Cavaliers are ranked 42nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Barrington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isys Dunphy, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Dunphy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Janaya Prince - baquero, who scored ten points along with five assists and five steals.
Barrington pushed their record up to 10-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Juanita Sanchez Complex, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Coincidentally, Barrington and the Cavaliers will both be playing the Falcons the next time they take the court. Barrington will head out to face the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cavaliers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
