Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salisbury). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the South Davidson Wildcats 73-21. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Wildcats are ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why South Davidson lost, don't look at Kayra Hulin. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points. That was a full 52.4% of South Davidson's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shayna Freeze, who earned five points.

Salisbury now has a winning record of 4-3. As for South Davidson, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Salisbury and North Rowan will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for South Davidson, they will be taking part in a tournament against Leadership Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
