The Western Alamance Warriors will take on the Seaforth Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Western Alamance will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Western Alamance turned things around against Eastern Guilford on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Wildcats as they made off with a 23-5 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 18 runs or more this season.
Camryn Rodrigues and Anna Klein made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Rodrigues pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Klein tossed three innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Rodrigues went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs, while Klein scored three runs while going 4-for-5. Klein also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Western Alamance got a massive performance out of Graysen Saul, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Saul a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Ryan Justice, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
Western Alamance kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 28 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Seaforth posted their closest victory since April 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Southeast Alamance 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.
Emma Grace Hill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Hill wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Annika Johansson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Seaforth, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Western Alamance hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .512. However, it's not like Seaforth struggles in that department as they've averaged .337. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
