Baseball Recap: Springfield Wins Going Away Against Madison Prep Academy

Springfield won the last time they faced Madison Prep Academy and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Springfield Bulldogs' way against Madison Prep Academy as the Springfield Bulldogs made off with a 14-2 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Will Sanders was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Brock Cothern, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Springfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Springfield back to even at 6-6. As for Madison Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.
