After flying high against the St. Regis Falls Saints last Wednesday, the Colton-Pierrepont Colts came back down to earth. Colton-Pierrepont ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-40 walloping at the hands of Tupper Lake on Friday. Colton-Pierrepont has struggled against Tupper Lake recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Colton-Pierrepont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eric Friedel. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Nate Smith was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Tupper Lake was led to victory by Garrett Pelkey and Thomas Peterson. Pelkey dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Peterson scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Peterson hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Tyler LaPlante, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Colton-Pierrepont's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12. As for Tupper Lake, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.
Colton-Pierrepont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tupper Lake also has no future games currently scheduled.
