The Mandeville Skippers came tearing into Tuesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Slidell and snuck past 37-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Mandeville has posted since November 14, 2023.
Leading Mandeville to victory were Saleigh Berry and Alanna Benoit. Berry scored seven points along with ten rebounds and six steals, while Benoit scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Berry hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Hannah Benoit was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Mandeville is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Slidell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-4.
