Basketball Recap: Mccallum Has No Trouble Against Cedar Creek

After losing to Cedar Creek the last time they met, McCallum decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The McCallum Knights blew past the Cedar Creek Eagles 67-41 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Despite the defeat, Cedar Creek had strong showings from Kenji Franklin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards, and Eli Meyers, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points. That's the most rebounds Franklin has posted since back in December of 2023.

McCallum is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Cedar Creek, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-12.

McCallum will host Bastrop at 8:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Cedar Creek, they will head out to take on Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
