The Unaka Rangers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against University as Unaka made off with a 57-36 win. That's two games straight that Unaka has won by exactly 21 points.
Unaka had a senior duo take command as Haley Taylor scored 17 points along with six rebounds and Alisha Harrell scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Harrell grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Katlyn Dugger, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Unaka and bumps their season record up to 6-16. As for University, their loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unaka has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. University will take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
