It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-33, which was the final score in Quince Orchard's tilt against Clarksburg. While losing is never fun, Quince Orchard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Clarksburg is ranked 33rd).
Quince Orchard's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ishani Maheshwari, who scored five points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Walter Johnson beat Whitman 46-42 on Friday. 46 seems to be a good number for Walter Johnson as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Quince Orchard has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Walter Johnson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.
Quince Orchard was able to grind out a solid victory over Walter Johnson when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 32-24. Does Quince Orchard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Walter Johnson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
