The Tooele Buffaloes will face off against the Grantsville Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Grantsville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Tooele, who comes in off a win.
Tooele is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Hillcrest on Friday as Tooele made off with a 10-2 win. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Kenni Molgard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024.

Tooele hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillcrest struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Grantsville faced Box Elder in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Grantsville fell 6-3 to Box Elder. The Cowboys have struggled against the Bees recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Kira Hart was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Eden Ressel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Tooele hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Grantsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Tooele's way against Grantsville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Tooele made off with a 12-4 victory. Will Tooele repeat their success, or does Grantsville has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
