If the South Adams Starfires were feeling good off their 53-26 takedown of the Southern Wells Raiders on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. South Adams took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Adams Central. South Adams was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Adams Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, South Adams had strong showings from Liz Gerber, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Macy Pries, who scored 23 points. The match was Pries' 11th in a row with at least ten points.
South Adams has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Adams Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-13.
South Adams will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fort Recovery at 7:00 p.m. As for Adams Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
