The Kennedy Fighting Irish will take on the Westlake Warriors at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Kennedy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Aquinas by a score of 7-2.

Emory Cheng spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Katie Torrez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Sydney Batalon was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Westlake owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Mission Viejo.
Not much got past Presley Watters, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Mission Viejo off the board.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Tirsch, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kira Palmer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Westlake hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive games.
Kennedy pushed their record up to 13-15 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Westlake, their record now sits at 18-13.
