Sayani Long Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Granite Hills's Sayani Long, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Long rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (101.6). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
For the year, Long has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 101.6 rushing yards per game.

Nicholas Gaoa Turns in Season-Best Performance
Nicholas Gaoa produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Barstow to the win on Friday. Gaoa rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (115.8) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Barstow's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Gaoa and Barstow will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Silverado at 7:00 p.m. on October 24th.

Big Game from Williams As Barstow Won 32-7
Another Barstow player making an appearance on this list is Dwayne Williams. He rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Victor Valley, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Williams. When Williams last faced the Jackrabbits back in October of 2023, he rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Jace Weiss and Co. Win Fourth in a Row
Jace Weiss's big game helped extend Silverado's winning streak to four on Friday. Weiss turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 142 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 31 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Silverado's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-3. Weiss and Silverado will challenge Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Vic Villa Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Vic Villa of Victor Valley. Villa's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.
Victor Valley moved to 5-1 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Villa and Victor Valley will host Granite Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
