The Louisa County Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-38 walloping at the hands of Albemarle. Louisa County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.
Louisa County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Peyton Brady, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and Taylor Yeatts who scored 13 points. Brady has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.
Louisa County dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Albemarle, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Louisa County's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Fluvanna County at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Fluvanna County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Monday. As for Albemarle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goochland at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Goochland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Albemarle is ranked 155th).
