Last Friday, Roger Bacon strolled past Norwood with points to spare, taking the game 23-6. The win was just what Roger Bacon needed coming off of a 41-17 defeat in their prior game.

Archbishop Alter fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 21-14 win over Chaminade Julienne Catholic on Friday. 21 seems to be a good number for Archbishop Alter as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Roger Bacon's win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Norwood and 3-8 Summit Country Day (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 31% over those games). As for Archbishop Alter, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Roger Bacon was taken down by Archbishop Alter 49-14 in their previous meeting back in September of 2018. Can Roger Bacon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
