Basketball Recap: Gateway Charter Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Terry Richardson and Bobby Williams

Gateway Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Life Oak Cliff Lions, falling 69-47. The Gators were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Gateway Charter Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bobby Williams, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 18 points, and Terry Richardson, who went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Trevion Gabriel was another key player, putting up four points and eight rebounds.

Gateway Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Life Oak Cliff, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Gateway Charter Academy has already played their next game, an 85-38 defeat against Madison on the 14th. As for Life Oak Cliff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-34 victory against A Plus Academy on the 14th.
