The Banff Bears will head out on the road to square off against Cornerstone Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Banff has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 16.
Banff suffered their biggest defeat since November 15, 2023 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Humble Christian at home and fell 58-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Banff has suffered against Humble Christian since January 24, 2020.
Despite their defeat, Banff saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Anthony Perla, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Perla is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Viet Vo, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 57 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Angleton Christian 61-57.
Banff's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-12. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
