The Ponte Vedra Sharks will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Bolles Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ponte Vedra is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Christ's Church Academy. Ponte Vedra was the clear victor by a 13-5 margin over Christ's Church Academy on Monday.
Aspen McAdoo made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other pitching news, Hunter Alba looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Ponte Vedra got a big performance out of Grady Hartman, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance gave Hartman a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Dylan McAdoo, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Bolles hadn't done well against St. Johns Country Day recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Bolles came out on top against St. Johns Country Day by a score of 6-2.
Like Ponte Vedra, Bolles also got a great game from a two-way player: Gabe Gonzalez. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Gonzalez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, James McCranie and Denzel Del Valle Delgado did most of the damage at the plate: McCranie went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Del Valle Delgado scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Ponte Vedra came up short against Bolles in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 5-0. Can Ponte Vedra avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
