New Richmond is 9-1 against Goshen since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The New Richmond Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Goshen Warriors at 7:30  p.m. New Richmond will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 554th, while Goshen is ranked 80th).
 New Richmond suffered their biggest  defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a  78-40 defeat at the hands of West Clermont. New Richmond found out winning isn't easy when  you don't work as a unit and  rack up 12 fewer assists than your opponent.
 New Richmond's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Grant Hess, who  scored 17 points along with six  rebounds, and  Ryan Keith who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 11  rebounds. That's the first time this season that  Keith  pulled down eight or more   rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Goshen came tearing into  Tuesday's  contest with 12 straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a  70-44 margin over Wilmington. Goshen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  matches by 26  points or more this season.
 New Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Goshen, their win was  their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 14-1.
