With a playoff win on the line, Sinton rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Zapata Hawks as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 14 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Sinton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 23 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Zapata, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Looking ahead, Sinton will take on Navarro on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 2.2, the Panthers 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Zapata does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
