Center Place's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Christian Learning Center 49-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Center Place has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Center Place had strong showings from Isabelle Howen, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Rylie Kroesen, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Center Place smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Learning Center only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Learning Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylie Allen, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Trezona, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Center Place has fallen quite a ways from their 17-2 record last season and are now at 2-6. As for Christian Learning Center, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center Place will take on Applewood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Applewood Christian's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Center Place's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Christian Learning Center, they will head out on the road to take on Heartland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
