Duchesne extended the longest winning streak in 1A - North this week by beating Rich, 40-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Eagles.
Duchesne led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on the Rebels. Trent Roberts threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 68 yards in the win.
Thanks to the talents of Christian Miller and Brodi Strong Summit Academy has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Miller leads the league in passing with 1005 yards, while Strong has rushed for 583 yards this season. Jerry Cowan's team's McKade Nielsen leads the league in receiving yards with 361 on 14 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Layton Christian Academy takes on Summit Academy. As it stands, the Eagles are in fourth, while Scott Gorringe's team is in third.
The Eagles made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,803 from 4,634. The advance stemmed from a 40-14 victory over Rich last week.
