Basketball Recap: Dakota O'brien's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcdonald County over Branson

McDonald County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dakota O'Brien, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Her big performance that evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamie Washam, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 22 boards.

Even though they lost, McDonald County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

McDonald County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Branson, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Coming up, McDonald County will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. McDonald County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season. Branson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
