Clinton is 9-1 against the Bulldogs since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Clinton Dark Horses will look to defend their home court against the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Clinton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
Clinton had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 47-39 victory over West Bladen. The victory was just what Clinton needed coming off of a 58-25 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clinton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Williford, who scored ten points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rubi Davila, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Wallace-Rose Hill's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-45 to North Lenoir.
Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Clinton was able to grind out a solid win over the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 42-33. Will Clinton repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
