The Silas Rams will take on the Bellarmine Prep Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bellarmine Prep will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Silas extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Rams were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Central Kitsap.
Carter Lystra was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Landon Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Silas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bellarmine Prep). They blew past Mount Tahoma 17-3 on Tuesday. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.
Bellarmine Prep got a massive performance out of Aaron Barnhart, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Barnhart is becoming a predictor of the Lions' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Calvin Dossett, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple.
Silas' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Bellarmine Prep, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Silas has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bellarmine Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Silas was able to grind out a solid win over Bellarmine Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 9-4. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
