The Hyde Park Panthers are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Eastside Early College Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Hyde Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Hyde Park got the win against Navarro by a conclusive 55-30. The victory was just what Hyde Park needed coming off of a 66-41 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hyde Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Rankin, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. Rankin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Knox Riemondi, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Eastside Early College pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-57 to Crockett. Eastside Early College's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Lago Vista's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Hyde Park's loss dropped theirs to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for Hyde Park against Eastside Early College in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 as the team secured a 88-36 win. Does Hyde Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastside Early College turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
