Marin Catholic has gone a perfect 10-0 against Novato recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Marin Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, Marin Catholic made easy work of Redwood and carried off an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Malliah Foster spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Morgan Carlson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Held, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Novato, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Terra Linda by a score of 7-3 on Wednesday.
Novato also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Claire Hannan gave up only one earned (and two unearned) runs on one hit.
On the hitting side, Allie Tubach was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Georgiana Castro was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Marin Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Novato, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 6-14.
Novato's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Marin Catholic has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Novato, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Marin Catholic's sizable advantage in that area, the Hornets will need to find a way to close that gap.
Marin Catholic took their victory against Novato in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 18-1 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
