St. Johns let Kaden Waite and T Platt run wild. Waite scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Platt scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Platt has become a key player for St. Johns: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cy Lindsey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
St. Johns always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Many Farms lost 17-6 to Northland Prep Academy on Friday.
Nikolaus Perry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. Wesley Atene was another key player, getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 7-8. As for Many Farms, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Many Farms' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: St. Johns has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. It's a different story for Many Farms, though, as they've only averaged .331. Will they be able to contain St. Johns' hitters?
