The Tattnall County Warriors had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Windsor Forest by a score of 63-55 on Friday. The victory was just what Tattnall County needed coming off of a 69-37 loss in their prior match.
Justin McMillian was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 25 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Davis, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Page, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Troy Smith, who scored 14 points.
Tattnall County's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Windsor Forest, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tattnall County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bryan County at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th. Bryan County is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Windsor Forest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pierce County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
