Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Tripp Thompson stepped things up a notch to give Ray the 'W'. Thompson threw for 193 yards and four TDs on only 11 passes, and also rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. His passing game has become a key predictor of Ray's success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Coming up, Thompson and Ray will challenge Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Texans had to take a loss when they last met the Tigers, but Thompson had little to do with the loss: he threw for 218 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 48 yards.
