The Altamonte Christian Eagles can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Lake Mary Prep 76-30 on the road. The win was just what Altamonte Christian needed coming off of a 84-61 defeat in their prior contest.
Altamonte Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashton Billings, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Ryan Almeda was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Lake Mary Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Caporaso, who scored four points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Evan Alles, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Altamonte Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Lake Mary Prep, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Altamonte Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against East River at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. East River presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Altamonte Christian in Florida (East River is ranked 95th, while Altamonte Christian is ranked 248th). As for Lake Mary Prep, they will take on Seven Rivers Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
