The Sumner Stingrays can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They really took it to Brandon for the full four quarters, racking up a 83-23 victory on the road. That looming 83-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sumner yet this season.
Kyree Williams was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 13 points along with seven assists and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsten Walker, who scored ten points.
Sumner's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Brandon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumner and King will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. King will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Sumner is ranked 187th). As for Brandon, they will head out on the road to challenge Blake at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Blake will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
