The Woodmore Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. Woodmore is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Woodmore was the victim of a rough 48-26 loss at the hands of Gibsonburg. While losing is never fun, Woodmore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while Gibsonburg is ranked 94th).
Meanwhile, Hopewell-Loudon had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past St. Mary Central Catholic 43-17.
Woodmore's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Hopewell-Loudon, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.
Woodmore was able to grind out a solid win over Hopewell-Loudon when the teams last played back in January, winning 44-32. Does Woodmore have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hopewell-Loudon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
