Leading Palm Desert to victory were Kamrynn Nathan and Coby Christensen . Nathan scored 18 points along with 3 steals, while Christensen scored 28 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. The game was Christensen 's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Brande , who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Palm Desert's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Palo Verde Valley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Palm Desert will be playing in front of their home fans against Calexico at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Calexico will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 497th, while Palm Desert is ranked 154th). As for Palo Verde Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Rancho Mirage at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
