Foresthill extended the longest winning streak in Sacramento Metro this week by beating Cristo Rey, 47-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Wildfires.
Foresthill took down Cristo Rey 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tommy Sawyer threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 18 yards in the win.
Woodland Christian's dynamic duo of Josh Truesdell and Chase Canevari proved tough for Valley Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Truesdell threw for 121 yards and three touchdowns and Canevari had 80 yards receiving. Kameron Arnold helped Woodland Christian's passing attack out by catching three balls for 35 yards.
Wes Archbold was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 179 yards as Jim Herlehy's team defeated the Lions. Teammate Rocky Thompson added to the ground attack by rushing for 97 yards.
Woodland Christian's Truesdell and Arnold have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Truesdell has thrown for 1380 yards this season, while Arnold has 27 catches for 777 yards. Archbold from the Wildfires leads the league in rushing with 926 yards.
Bruce Pielstick's team led Sacramento Metro in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Valley Christian. Truesdell ran for 64 yards in the win.
