St. Dominic is on a two-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), St. Edmund Prep a six-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th. St. Edmund Prep took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Dominic, who comes in off a win.
Even though Academy of the Holy Names scored an imposing 55 points on December 2nd, St. Dominic still came out on top. St. Dominic walked away with a 63-55 victory over Academy of the Holy Names.
Meanwhile, St. Edmund Prep struggled with assists last Monday (Moore Catholic had 15 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. St. Edmund Prep took a serious blow against Moore Catholic, falling 57-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Edmund Prep has scored all season.
Priscilla Long put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored six points along with seven rebounds. Cadence Coffey was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
St. Dominic's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for St. Edmund Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
