The Mountain View Buffalos entered their tilt with the Pinedale Wranglers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Mountain View narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Pinedale 63-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Pinedale's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Elyn Bowers, who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds, and Erica Wilson who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season.
Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Pinedale, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.
Mountain View will head out on the road to take on Lyman at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Lyman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Pinedale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lander Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Lander Valley is ranked 17th, while Pinedale is ranked ninth).
