North Hardin and Campbellsville are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The North Hardin Trojans will head out to square off against the Campbellsville Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
North Hardin barely beat Bethlehem the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. North Hardin blew past Bethlehem 15-3 on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Marian Jaudon was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Hamilton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Campbellsville hadn't beaten Central Hardin on the road since March 20, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. Campbellsville put the hurt on Central Hardin with a sharp 14-3 win. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Kace Eastridge was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Eastridge was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Campbellsville let Ty Burwash and Remy Brown run wild. Burwash went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI, while Brown went 2-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Burwash a new career-high in hits. Dax Grey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Campbellsville's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0. As for North Hardin, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
North Hardin skirted past Campbellsville 4-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Does North Hardin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Campbellsville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
